Reynolds, married to acclaimed actress Blake Lively, took his children to the Prospector Theater in Ridgefield this week.
And even though Reynolds wanted to see the movie InsideOut 2 with his kids, which was sold out, they bypassed his own movie and headed for "Despicable Me 4" instead.
The star, who lives with Lively and their four children in a $5.7 million mansion in Pound Ridge, just a few miles away from their former home in neighboring Bedford, took to Instagram after he visited the theater to sing its glory.
"Truly great place to take in a movie," he wrote. "I love these guys."
The star also visited the theater's Instagram page to offer more praise, saying "Best Theater Ever."
The Prospector is known for its "Pink Glove" service where the doors are opened for you, the floors sparkle, and well, it's a great place for everyone, Executive Director Ryan Wenke said.
Wenke added that besides showing top movies, the theater is also known for hiring employees with disabilities, and striving to be the best theater in the area for everyone, not just stars.
"We were thrilled he was so gracious about the theater and posting about it," Wenke said. "So nice."
The theater is located at 25 Prospect St, Ridgefield.
